Kung Fu Philosophy
The philosophy of kung fu is like a tree. Part of the tree is seen and part of it is hidden beneath the surface. There is the part that grows above the ground and the roots that reach deep into the earth. There may be many branches of the tree, and many flowers of those branches, but without the trunk the branches would have no stability. When the tree is young, it is supple and able to bounce back quickly from the ravages of nature. As the tree grows older it becomes tall and strong, and now it drops the seeds that will plant future generations.
